The Brief

Excalibur Communications is Vodafone’s number 1 Platinum Partner with approximately 6000 customers and 27000 mobile phone connections. They wanted to generate more opportunities by encouraging these customers to refer new businesses to Excalibur by launching a programme that would encourage multiple referrals and offer aspirational rewards.

Goal

The programme needed to reflect Excalibur’s reputation for high quality products and services, be easy to administer and flexible enough to offer a very diverse audience something to suit everyone.

What Was Done

We created a brand points scheme for Excalibur that offered this flexibility and ease of administration they needed enabling customers to choose something from an abundance of experiences and gifts. This was supported with launch communication including posters and emails created by our in-house marketing team, which generated and continues to sustain the buzz that makes this scheme such a success.

Result

“The programme has been a great channel for us to communicate our ambitions to our customers and a fantastic way for us to thank individuals and institutions for any referrals. With Red Letter Days handling the marketing and administration of the points scheme, the first few months of the scheme saw a significant number of referrals and this is now a major tool for generating new business. Subsequently we also asked Red Letter Days to deliver our annual staff dinner.”
