The Brief
Pendragon are very sales focussed, however, there are a large number of people within the organisation who make a huge difference to the day to day running of it who don't always receive the recognition they deserve. In the past Pendragon have used a completely share based reward scheme to recognise these people, however, this year they wanted to offer a runners up prize that added real value to the programme.
Goal
To recognise the efforts of at least two team members at each of the company's 300 UK wide sites. The top person received 1000 shares and the runner up received a Red Letter Days Blue Experience Voucher. Each site was sent a pack to detail how to go about nominating people within their staff, there were 5 criteria and each team member was asked to nominate the person that they felt best embodied these five qualities. These criteria included; the person who makes the site a better place to work in, the person who will go out of their way to help others.
What Was Done
Working with the Red Letter Days design team we created an insert to go into the packs which conveyed the message of the programme and included the programme's logo. The packs were then delivered to the company's head office to be awarded to the individuals personally.
Result
"The feedback from the recipients has been fantastic and provided Pendragon with a great way to bring the scheme to life. We now receive feedback on the experiences and gifts that they receive, which is far easier to communicate than the shares that were awarded."
