The Brief

To create a recognition scheme that could be administered locally on an adhoc basis to reward staff for going above and beyond.

Goal

To provide an easy to administer fulfilment process to work alongside Punch's other reward options. The aim was to promote a number of core values within the Punch team.

What Was Done

Rewards are awarded to staff in all positions within the business by line managers, however the programme is focused on staff in Punch's licensed estate. When an area manager visits one of his premises if they see a member off staff going above and beyond, they can reward that staff member with a scratch card. This may win them a meal in a Punch restaurant, a £100 or £200 Red Letter Days voucher or holiday vouchers. Scratch cards that win a Red Letter Days voucher are completed with the winner's details and sent directly to Red Letter Days to be redeemed for a voucher.

Result

"We have now been running the scheme for three years and it has been so well received with our staff that we have doubled the ration of cards that win Red Letter Days."
