The Brief
Santander employs roughly 10,000 staff across Branch and Telephone distribution channels and engagement with the sales force is critical in ensuring the success of Marketing campaigns. Being able to offer experience based rewards for outstanding campaign performance is a factor in delivering great engagement.
Goal
Santander have a heavy involvement with Formula One, sponsoring both the Mercedes McLaren team and the Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone. When they were able to use Lewis Hamilton in their TV advertising for their Bank Account product they wanted to get that motor sports glamour into their sales network.
What Was Done
The Red Letter Days team put together a Santander specific Red Letter Days box featuring their branding as well as images of Lewis Hamilton, offering their staff the chance to follow in his footsteps and drive single seat race cars at Silverstone.
Result
"The Silverstone driving experience helped to deliver a very high level of engagement amongst our sales staff both in Branches and Telephone Distribution. Overall the campaign delivered a 27% increase on sales run rates, including several best ever sales performances."
