Engagement is the commitment a person brings to an organisation and has fast become an absolute necessity for corporate success. You have to capture the hearts and minds of participants and find out what inspires them to go that extra mile, ultimately creating an environment where their work becomes more enjoyable, productive and profitable.

We helped Santander achieve a 27% increase on sales run rates, including several best ever sales performances by delivering a programme aimed at their sales force. With their involvement with Formula One, they were able to use Lewis Hamilton in their TV advertising and wanted to get that motor sports glamour into their sales network. So we put together a Santander specific Red Letter Days box, offering their staff the chance to follow Lewis’ footsteps and drive single seat race cars at Silverstone.

A healthy work/life balance is also key. If they are happy outside of the office, you have a better chance of a truly engaged employee. For example why not celebrate their lives as a whole with a family experience to be enjoyed by parents and children together. This is a chance to show your appreciation and say a big ‘thank you’ to all your employees and their families. It comes back to the one word – 'purpose'. Give them that and engagement will grow.
